Sastruga

Sastruga is a digital platform where creative ideas and idealistic passions transform into a visual language. It is a commercial photography and video studio that symbolises talent that is forged with experience, which promises to give the best results for any project they touch.

The meaning of the word “sastruga” itself is sharp irregular grooves or ridges formed on a snow surface by wind erosion, saltation of snow particles and this spirit is what we use as the base of the visual elements in the branding.

We drive simplicity, confidence, and strength through black and white, inspired by cinema verite, French for “truthful cinema” or “cinema of truth” which conveys Sastruga’s mission in delivering honest and authentic products. While the delicacy and elegance derives from the logotype which is a a display serif typeface fused with some geometric elements on the edges. Using a combination of modern san serif and classic serif font for the body copy to bring the digital and modern vibe into the equation.
