Bali Top Optical has been around for quite a while in the industry and approaching their second decade, it was about time for a brand refresh. So we gave them a complete makeover that simplifies and modernises the brand feel to make it more relatable by its evolving customer segment.
We believe in a problem-solution approach. The founder came to us with a problem that people couldn’t seem to remember the store name. When presented with this legibility and recognition issue from the previous logo, we assessed where the problem lies, strategised to tackle it, and came up with a cleaner and more dynamic logo structure that emphasises on the Bali Top name. Thus, making the brand clearer and more familiar to its viewers.
Using a minimal and modern serif font with an organic quality that gives a glimpse of the traditional balinese vibe at the same time, we aim to capture the story of a long standing establishment evolving in current times while still keeping its roots and origins.
To subtly insert an optical touch without being too in your face about it, we played with the logotype and smoothly integrated an actual face wearing a pair of glasses in end of the logo, blending in as one unity.
